The Copywriting Picture – More Than Meets the Eye
CopywritingThere’s a fish monger five minutes down the road from my office in Chorlton, Manchester. It’s called Out of the Blue. Sometimes when I meet a client around lunchtime I’ll suggest we wander down there to get something to eat. OOTB do a lunch deal – sushi, miso soup and a choice of either wasabi nuts or peas. It costs £4. My clients love it.
I took one there yesterday – she was in heaven; ended up spending another £18 on fresh hake, a tenner on langoustine and even bought some sea spinach.
There’s a Greggs four doors down from my office. They also do a lunch deal. It’s a pound cheaper than OOTB . I never take my clients there.
And the moral of this fishy tale?
The value of value over price. In copywriting, in food, in perpetuity. If you get it – you get it. If you don’t you won’t. And once the money’s gone – it can’t come back.
Over to you Neil…

Not only dies your fishy tale make me want to drive over there and treat myself to these fishy delights … it also says a lot more about you than if you steered them to Greggs. Not that I’m against having an odd pie or two!
Nice post, good learning point.
It’s worth the trip Nadio. I promise.
Not on a Monday though – they’re shut 🙂
So the rumours of fresh sushi in Chorlton are true. Need to check them out!
You will be handsomely rewarded Angie.
Nice to see you.
